Colorful woodblock-printed illustrations of displays at a promotional fair of Japanese arts and industries held in Kyoto in 1903. More than 130 families lent objects of traditional rituals and ceremonies including the imperial household, individual noblemen, important daimyo families, and
Kyoto officials. The assemblage was so unique that a book was produced for the education of the public and for future generations. It is in the special collections of the C. Laan Chun Library Center at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. (less)
