 | Everything about crypt crawler Lara Croft is fake: her boobs, her archaeological background, her identity. The ass-kickin' chick is a game boy's dream come to life, so it's fitting that the video hottie should get an equally synthetic soundtrack in time for her big-screen debut. U2 reel out the album's strongest track, a glossy remix of "Elevation" that skids all over glam-rock terrain and is just sexy enough to make it work as a single (as well as a scene-stealing video featuring Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie). Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor works himself into a fit on the grinding "Deep," but his tirade sounds outdated with its dumb lyrics and clunky, hookless programming. Speaking of computer blues, Groove Armada's wordless snoozer "Edge Hill" is about as far from shakin' that ass as a dance act can get. Thankfully, club reliables like the Chemical Brothers and Moby can still get it done; the former brings out the funk with a writhing dance tune that's as tireless as the film's ... | Every now and then a musical unit comes together out of the blue for all the right reasons. A need for quality expression in the universal language that breaks down all barriers on all fronts is music today and this dynamic (4) piece from Brazil have it all and more. Best of all these guys have done the hard yards and worked their local market to build a solid story that sets them up along with their extensive fan base to go to the next level along with an international management team that truly believe in their craft. In 2002 Paul Hodel returned to Brazil with a home computer and an acoustic guitar, he gave birth to the first demo with strong grunge influences. When he met Leo Krieger (bass) and gave him a copy, they decided to start the band. One year later, Frank Martins (guitars) joined the band, and Leo invited Fab Krieger (drums), his brother, to finally complete the Janice Doll quartet. The album contains hard hitting hard rocking tunes with a strong Muse style influence. Fi... (less)Artist: | $16 - $18 2 Merchants |

 | Following the breakout debut of Dirty With the Blues, Sleepy Eyes Nelson s sophomore effort was originally planned to be the wetting of the artist s teeth in a studio to create a sound more polished than the gritty debut recorded using vintage equipment. Following a few studio sessions with brother JB, the city life proved too much for Sleepy and he sequestered himself within the walls of a hotel. In this room Sleepy began using a computer for the first time and even designed the artwork for the album himself using Microsoft Paint on Windows 95. Ironically, after abandoning the studio and all recorded tracks, No Sleep Past Midnight, No Slips Past Mid-Day was recorded in the very room that was to be his resting place between studio recordings on the same vintage equipment that is responsible for his debut.
